This is another busy May for Aunt Sister and I. We have two graduations--Aunt Sister Cindy's daughter is graduating this week with her bachelor's degree and will begin teaching soon as a math teacher! My youngest daughter will graduate next week with her Masters in Social Work. Then my oldest daughter returns from Paraguay after completing 2+ years of service with her fiance, and then my son (and oldest child) marries just a few days later. Plus there are two graduation parties and one family birthday party, not to mention the bridal shower and engagment party our family gave and attended in the last 2 weeks!
In between all of that fun, Aunt Sister and I keep shopping and picking and taking photos and listing...We have both found several caches of sheets lately, in addition, to suitcases--watch for the NOS white suitcase to be listed in a few days, dishes, a child's typewriter, and more...
Now down to business. We're in a Spring Cleaning mood! A 20% off coupon will become active on our site, Aunt Sisters Picks, later today, through the next couple of weeks. Use the coupon code Spring Clean 2013 when you make your purchase.
Also, check out HalfSkyCovered Etsy shop--she's through with her studies and gotta make some money! You can find her shop at:
As always, thank you for your business and enjoy the beautiful spring weather!
Aunt Sister Cindy and I would like to wish each of you a HappyEaster! We are having an Eggstravanga Easter Egg Hunt at Aunt Cindy's tomorrow with family and friends. We hope that you, too, have the chance to be with family and friends at this time.
First, a few things to mention: If you receive your purchase and find major flaws with the item that you did not know existed when you made the purchase, PLEASE convo us. If this is an oversight on our part, we will try to make it right with you by offering you a refund of the item or a coupon for 20% off on your next purchase.
We are honest, hard working gals who are trying to run an honest business selling old, vintage doo dads in good shape. With that said, we try to put in our listings any flaws in the item--stains, a tear, nicks, scratches, etc. But, we do "miss things". As we also put in every listing: "We are not experts, we are Sisters".
Next, we DO combine shipping when possible and we WILL refund shipping overages when possible. Again, we are trying to be fair.
Finally, if you're receiving this blog from us and don't want to, please scroll to the end of this blog and "unsubscribe". Otherwise, we will share photos, ideas, finds and coupons with you through this blog about once a month.
Our next coupon starts immediately, TODAY, on books! We are offering a buy one (set or single book), get the second set or single book of less or equal price for "half off". Just mention this offer, SPRING BOOK SALE, at your time of purchase. The "half off" will be refunded to your account, as soon as we print a shipping label. We will run this coupon from today through April 15th.
Half Sky Covered has been on Spring Break and away on a trip this week, but should be posting new listings soon. Check her out at: www.etsy.com/shop/HalfSkyCovered
Keep on pickin'! Aunt Sisters
It's cloudy, spitting snow, windy and cold here today, but, it's March and ALMOST spring. Daylight savings begins Sunday! Birds are singing, daffodils have bloomed and the iris and tulips are putting out their new "green".
I had a short "pickin" trip yesterday at my usual haunts and came home with a few new sheets, some cute, cute, cute glasbake mugs and 2 children's lightweight sleeping bags--one is Star Wars and the other is Care Bears. Now, for some sun and a little less wind so I can take pictures and list these items.
Aunt Sister and I are planning a picking trip next week to southern middle Tennessee and will update you during the day with whistles and tweets and instagram messages. If you're not following us already, we're "auntsisterspicks" on instagram, too, just to keep it simple. We "tweet" at Aunt Sister Deb and Aunt Sister Cindy.
We'd like to ask for your ideas....one of ours is getting married in May and we're working on the rehearsal dinner. The venue is "out in the woods" and the food will be bbq and part of the entertainment and fun will be a square dance. What we need are decoration ideas--the tablecloths and napkins, centerpieces, and more. The number of guests will be 50-55, so about 6-8 tables. Please, flood us with your crafty, fun, over the top, you gotta do this decorating ideas!
As always, check out Half Sky Covered at: www.etsy.com/shop/HalfSkyCovered for her latest additions.
Stay warm and keep on pickin'!
